This quote reminds me of my fav quote in the world by ANias nin.

" we dont not see people as they are, we see them as we are"

Essentially it is saying that one is most often only capable of seeing themselves in others, or what they would like.. or like to feel etc. that we see what we want. because it is us that we are looking through. IT is harder in the world to step outside yourself completely to see the true person that is not yourself. I find that is my goal. i try to see the whole picture of who someone is by where they come from and why they are that way. past present..equals future. equals ones being who they are now. the only problem with that is that it is far easier to forgive ones faults if you already place a blame on something else. what the persons life was like..etc. It makes forgiving easier but letting go of someone harder. evern if the person is unhealthy for you.
